First mix together the topping ingredients in a small bowl, use a fork to roughly combine the ingredients with the butter. Small chunks are fine.
Sift together in large bowl the flour, baking soda and salt.
Then mix in the remaining ingredients either by hand or with a mixer.
Put half the batter into ungreased pan. (I use a tube pan)
Sprinkle over half of the topping.
Spread the remainder of batter on top and add the rest of the topping.
Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 50 minutes.
For an added pleasure, mix some icing sugar with a small amount of water to make an icing and drizzle it over your coffee cake. It's an added treat everyone will love.
