Chocolate Marble Cake and Peanut Butter Frosting

Making This Chocolate Marble Cake


Chocolate Marble Cake
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, eggs, vanilla and butter. Mix together using a large spoon or electric mixer until all of the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Pour all but approximately one cup of the batter into a 9-inch non-stick baking pan lightly coated with baking spray.

Add the cocoa powder to the cup of batter left over and mix together completely.

Use a spoon to drop large spoons of batter on top of the batter already in the pan, then use a knife to swirl the chocolate batter into the vanilla batter in any pattern you like.

Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until you cake passes the "toothpick test".

Peanut Butter Frosting

  • 8 oz. soft cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp. soft butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 1/4 cups icing sugar
  • 1 cup cool whip


In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, cream cheese, and peanut butter until well combined.

Slowly add icing sugar, mixing thoroughly after each addition.

Add the cool whip and beat until smooth and creamy.

Adding this frosting to any cake will make it your family's favorite frosting and they will want you to add it to every cake you bake.
